Just wondering if any hide members have done any short barrel 6 creed build. I’m talking 16-20 inch range. Had a 20 inch 308 heavy palma spun up last year before deer season and for hunting off the ground with a tripod I was very happy with it. Ran it suppressed in a mdt xrs on a terminus Zeus action. So was wanting something else to run suppressed off an ARC Archimedes action. So far only have the action and Triggertech Diamond 2 stage. Still haven’t decided on chassis/stock, barrel length or caliber. But really think a 6 creed suppressed would be sweet for deer, hogs, and possibly yote. Plus to me the benefit of the 6 creed or the 6.5 would be lighter recoil as I’d love to get my nephews and my daughter behind something this year too.

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor barreled action (brand new barrel essentially), sitting around collecting dust. It's a 24" MTU currently, so thinking of getting it chopped down to ~16-18" and having some real heavy fluting done to reduce the weight. Will also be ran suppressed.
Curious to hear others experience on this. Not a 6 Creed, but similar to what you are trying to do.

I just threw one together, but haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. I'm looking forward to hunting with it - should handle very well. Wanted something my kids could grow with as well and I think it's going to be perfect.

Had a 16" 6creed on a badger action, have a 20" 6creed on a stiller now. Also have a 20" 6creed on an ai. I don't remember speed of 16" but drt'd a nuisance permit doe at 798yds with it and 105 hunting vld. The 2 20" 6creeds run 2920 and 2950, both with 105 hybrids and rl16.
Nice I appreciate the info man. Sounds like 18-20 inch will definitely get the job done for how I’m wanting to use it.
Forgot about this thread, figured I’d update. I’ve put maybe 120 rounds down range with my Terminus 6 Creed and I’m really liking this set up. Breaking in with factory Prime 107 SMK and Hornady 108 ELDM. Off to a promising start for sure. Will likely be loading the 105 hybrid sometime soon.
