AE MK series vs AT; differences?

Okay, AI snobs. What are the differences between these rifles? Is the cost difference between, say a MK3, compared to a AT worth it? If so, why?

The Mk3 is not a quick to change barrel, you have to use the barrel vise kit, so 8 minutes vs 45 seconds

That is basically it, the legacy stock maybe, but you can change the skins, magazine is an AICS vs AW too

It's the round action not the square, so it's AICS Mags vs AW

Thanks Frank. Is the QuickLoc worth the extra $$ to you for the AT over the MK3?

Id say it’s worth it for the magazines alone. The receiver is bonded and screwed to the chassis, along with the Quickloc make it an easy choice over the Mk3. They sell here without a barrel regularly for sub $4k.

There is a difference as well when the AT/AX switched to small firing pins. This one has the large firing pin. Which can cause issues with 6/6.5 rounds having primer flow. They can be bushed tho

AT all day. As mentioned, the quick change is nice and better mags. Not to mention more after market add-ons like the AO chassis, AX stock, grip mods. Easier pre fit barrels and so on. Just spend the money and never think about it again. Trust me, it’s worth it!

Poor checking in, lol. I've had ae mk 2&3, 17' at and a 13' ax. I like the qd barrel change, but honestly the old ax or ae arent that bad to change. The at I had wasn't as smooth as either ae and the trigger wasn't as crisp or consistent. Tried the comp trigger and it was too light. The market on ae's have got a little tarded, I paid 3200 for tooley barreled ae mk3 2.0 new in 2013, and 1600 for a mk2 308 1.5, 2yrs ago. The ae at 2100-2500, depending on configuration and caliber are a nice rifle. At what I've saw some listed at, 3400+ for used 308 or 6.5, ill go with an at.
