Last year I was driving to a service call. Traffic stopped and about four cars ahead of me there were two guys fighting in the road. I put my truck in park to watch the shit show. About two seconds later I realized that it was a local LEO getting his ass kicked. I jumped from my truck and ran into the fray. We got the guy down and cuffed. I recall the thought of, WTF is wrong with all these people just watching? I can tell you of several times that I got involved in situations that I could have been like those other people that just sit, get their phone on video and do nothing. I do/ have done a lot in my community.
While talking to a friend in that PD he stated that he has on several occasions warned other officers to be careful of who they fuck with. They may have to depend on that person someday. Think about that. Why should he be warning other officers to not fuck with people?

I addressed your question to me in response to someone else. It’s in this thread. To touch upon it, I do not deny there are decent men inside gov’t. @pmclaine seem like he WAS one of them. I also understand that there isn‘t nearly enough to matter and that number gets smaller everyday just like in this story of the 12.

Your part about paying (stolen) taxes isn’t remotely the same as CHOOSING to work for a corrupt gov’t knowing the state of the nation. People pay taxes at gunpoint. If they do not, men with badges will assault them with the full backing of the criminal government. These LEO will then confiscate everything a man worked his whole life for and his family will be left with nothing. This is a far cry from voluntarily working for the state.

I say this to myself as much as I say it to you then. We are part of the problem. Seeing a problem and standing by watching it happen isn’t too far off from doing it yourself. At some point there will be a tipping point and words will turn to actions.

Until then, I’m thankful for the states still fighting with the pen. As many are seeing for the first time in Ukraine, physical conflict is not a good time.

You have to be very narrow minded to stand by this statement and use it as a legitimate argument. The nation as a whole was held hostage for two years because of blatant and obvious lies. You cannot be honest and not admit the role of the police in all this. They were the main players after all. People were literally separated from loved ones by threats of violence from the police for a year and half.

Australia was brutal.

I used that example as a warning as well as what was going on in Austria. I was typically told it will never happen here.

So you were cowed into obeying covid restrictions that you observed yet you are here advocating for others to do more?

My former co-workers are delusional.

They think they will have their pensions.

Ive told them I was a coward leaving now while its easy.

They are going to have to make their minds up under much more dire circumstances involving questions about what they are asked to do to others.
