Considering that over a lifetime college graduates earn $1 million more than non college graduates I say that makes them rich compared to those who did not get a college degree. Not sure exactly what he means, but you could argue the money making machine of institutions charging insane tuition to launder government money into private hands will not be interrupted. If students don't have to worry about debt, enrolling students don't need to consider any increase in tuition costs going forward, so those getting rich from the laundering will increase their wealth even more. Jacking up tuition costs will certainly happen after debt forgiveness because who cares, it's "government money".
If student loans aren't forgiven, that high tuition burden which is becoming more visible as years go on as students aren't generating the income expected to repay in a timely manner will need to be adjusted lower.

I could end that shit tomorrow. NO MORE GUARANTEED STUDENT LOANS. The prices of college went through the roof when the colleges realized banks will give out money to anyone going to college. College is not a requirement to live, but a choice one makes. However, it seems all of these incredible smart people are making poor choices. There are ways to limit the debt, but most just want their cake and to be able to eat it too.
Also, the college level education system in the US has gone down the shitter. Colleges are teaching basic English and Math skills student s should have before even attending college. If you need to take these classes you are not ready for college.

I worry about all my neighbors kids (only 2 in the 'hood seem to be normal). One 3rd grader is damn near a sociopath in the making (way too quiet and mean - even to adults) and the other had moments I'm like...hmmm, in 3rd grade that's a bit creepy and weird. My take on the two third graders who seem to be slightly maladjusted is that they get no father time. Every once in a while I see the father playing with them. They also get way too much videogame and violence. I was shocked at the one 3rd year old's knowledge of bad things. I'd be grilled by any leftist, but the father is HUGE part of a child turning out normal. It takes both parents.
Heck, my grandfather and I were inseparable until I went to school (fishing, BB guns on cans in back yard, hunting) and on weekends I hung out with Dad. Nowdays I don't see that happening. The two most normal children - heavy father presence in their upbringing and outdoors.
