Looks to be another "I fell in love with the inmate" ordeal

They could have been famous like another couple and gone out in a blaze of glory...

Fuck'em, now there's going to be trials and room and board for years. Could have had a better outcome.

Well hell, I go for my 13 mile bike ride, do some chores and see this. Not how I thought she'd die, but she dade...that's what we all knew. More interesting is how they got on the trail. That's what I'd like to know. Other than dumping the other stolen car and WTF...going to a car wash to wash the car? C'mon man....why were they hanging out in Evansville?

Ive not heard any specifics yet (official or unofficial) on why they were in Evansville. For those that don't know its a town of about 100000 population. Very active LEO presence and I've worked with USMS here. I heard officially that they could be here late this morning and just a few hours later they were had.

I'll be curious as to what he may be charged with here (probably federal charges too)

^^^ pretty close.

News saying they were in the Evansville area for about 6 days. Can't be a fugitive and stay in one place that long. Makes me wonder why. You'd think that someone that can sell a house and have at least one get-away vehicle stashed at the ready would have more of a plan than go to Evansville and wait six days to be caught.

Headed for Canada.

Did she really think this could end any other way?

They probably watched her do it as they were approaching the car?
The only reputable source I've found states that he claimed "his wife" had had shot herself after the police rammed and disabled their vehicle. That's what he told the sheriff, not what was witnessed. Most "news" sources are treating what the sheriff was told as fact. He did not witness it, at least, not according to any reputable source I can find.

I'm happy to be wrong, just seems like the thug was "cleaning up loose ends"..

With her dead he can claim it was all her idea, she made him go with her, he left in chains, he is the victim, etc., etc., etc.

No matter what happens in his murder cases I doubt they'll make any of this stick. A good attorney will blame the whole thing on her.

Correct, and don't forget that he was probably off of his medications. Therefore, he wasn't thinking correctly and wasn't responsible for his actions.

Local news said the pair had planned a shootout with police. USMS rammed their car to end the pursuit. One report said they had about $29k and a couple guns with them. The Sheriff has said he doesn't know why they stayed in the area for so long.

I'll start working some of my contacts and see if I can get any more that's not being reported. I'm sure I know at least a few that were involved.

Have you seen pics of her?

A little physical attention is my guess.

My guess is that her downward spiral started many years before this. One news article quoted a former corrections officer who worked with her as not being surprised at this.

She was probably the subject of a lot of complaints on being too close or lenient with inmates but was protected because she was a woman. After a while, those complaints dried up because the male corrections officer know that anything negative said about her would fall on deaf ears and earn them some retribution.

People just don't snap like that. This had to have been building. And it's another reason why women shouldn't be in positions like this.

I'd like to see what was never entered into her record book.
Just the "unfounded" complaints would probably make your eyes red.

As well as is said above, "Criminals arent that bright", How far are you really going to go on 29K. 290 maybey Canada but thats not enough to build a life on.

As far as her looks, I know a lot of guys who would grab her in a minute. Poor self esteem.

And theyll likely charge him with her death, a needle in each arm...and Im basically against the death penalty.
