Would sign. Perhaps that's just the thing we should pick up next. Would solve a shitload of problems. Then end suffrage for those that don't own land. Would solve a shitload more problems. Restricting the franchise was not done for shallow reasons. It was meant to make sure that the voting public had some skin in the game and were able to allow their minds to overcome their emotions. Quality decision making in matters of policy and law occasionally means that some people will feel short term pain to deliver long term gains to the whole of the people. Broads don't usually have the capacity to deal with that harsh reality. Renters don't either or much fewer of them would be renting.
Am I the only one who hears a voice like that and I can't help but wave my hands around in the most condescending ways?
There's a difference between ignorant and stupid however, your point stands on its own merits as stated.
I'd agree except every single state qualifying exam and curriculum in this country discusses women suffrage at some point. Ignorance isn't the issue here, it's much deeper.

I've always been a fan of only property owners only being granted the right to vote. Gotta have some skin in the game especially at the State and local level regarding things like property (highway robbery) taxes.
I think anyone that receives a check from uncle sam should be restricted from voting. Welfare check. You don’t vote. Government employee at any level. You don’t vote. This would keep those that benefit from the theft and corruption directed at the productive citizens from voting more of it for their own gain. Want to vote then get off the government tit and contribute to society. This wouldn’t solve the fraud but would be a step forward.
Agree except for getting a social security check which is robbery money that was stolen from you all your working career and is being doled out as a pittance.
Everyone gets their money back, or an agreed percentage. The financial sector is de-regulated so firms have an actual incentive to grow peoples wealth. And, most importantly, any firm that defrauds clients or is mismanaged badly enough must be allowed to fail and pay any damages settled on
What many don't know is what ever a business owner withholds in FICA ,I have to match out of my own pocket and not get credit for ! Criminal !!

When you look at the fact that 24 million people work in government at some level and that 35% of the population is on some form of government assistance then you can see how much it would make sense and also just as you said, it will never ever happen.
