I'm Los Angeles area and I got mine in about 3 months.

    Im sure they'll still require:

    1) Written test.
    2) 8 hours live class
    3) Live fire accuracy test
    4) Background check
    5) Live scan finger printing

I expect CA to play games with "Good Moral Character" requiremnts and other things like a potential psych eval to deny folks CCW permits. Some people will still get permits they couldn't prior to the Bruen ruling and the unlucky ones will have to wait for the courts to sort things out (perhaps they will have to wait for a return trip to the Supreme Court).

It's not the ideal outcome but much better than it was prior to Bruen. Right now LA County has approx 150 or so CCW permits for 10 million residents to give you an idea of just how well connected you had to be to get a CCW permit.

WOW, nobody saw that one! This isn't an April's Fool joke, is it?????

Nope -- unless it's as well coordinated joke as they did the ELECTION FRAUD or SCAMDEMIC - OR the coming FOOD FAMINE and FUEL SHORTAGE it's noted in sev online newsites

Now you just gotta go through the 6-12 month process if you're in a big city/county. When my dad went through the CCW process in San Bernardino County, a shall issue County, it still took like 6-8 months I think.

Delaying tactics, procrastination, and charging unreasonable fees for licenses are also infringements to the 2A. Right before the pandemic the NYSRPA also had another case headed to the Supreme Court challenging NYC's $400 permit fee. Gotta look it up when I get off work to see where that case proceeded...

Thats not much different when I got TX CHL in early 2000s. You left out "the fee".

Steve McQueen had a pistol permit in Palm Springs back in 1970. In this letter he’s asking for an extension of his permit because he was on the Charles Manson death list. It seems as if even in 1970 he’s having to state the Manson death list as a reason to extend his pistol permit but not for certain.

Interesting side note….even though he was a celebrity he wrote in the letter about carrying a pistol

“As it’s the only sense of self-protection for myself and my family.”
