This is what is so STUPID about this - what did they delete? The texts on their phone? The phone company copies of the texts? the NSA copies of the texts? The Mossad copies of the texts? Apple, Google. Friggin El Salvador probably has copies of the texts. But we're supposed to believe "oops, they were accidentally deleted, sorry".
