Fired from my Savage bolt action 338 Lapua was using US869 as I've ran out Retumbo, started low poor accuracy working the load up noticed this small dent in all fired cases, found couple of my Retumbo loads I had stashed fired them with not one showing this dent after being fired
Kinda curious why this happened all brass was processed the same time

^^^^ It does look like that.

If that dent is showing up immediately after firing, then it could be caused by too low of a powder charge.
Charge doesn't create enough pressure to move the shoulder fully forward and the neck can't expand to seal the chamber. Gas goes down the neck and causes dents on the shoulder.

HOWEVER, that case is awfully clean for that to have happened.

It looks much more like too much lube and a shoulder dent because the die couldn't vent out the lube.

I read that could be cause by low pressure just figured I get second opinion
It has been cleaned resized the dent was post sized,I'm gonna up the charge still trying to get some accuracy with the US869
I stated out low apparently to damn low 93 grain with 300 grain projectile
I'm sure it will pop out once I fire them
