Slightly related, I almost got a 1970 challenger soft top for my first car. Im not a convertible person, but challenger...

Outside and interior looked great, but it was full of rust when you dug into it. Guy ended up abandoning it at the race shop trying to get it fixed up. It was yellow and black with black interior had all the options from back in the day even had the old pistol grip shifter if I remember correctly.

Hey if you put them together I didn’t know it was you, stop with your fucking sensitivity. You’ll be alright baby girl 😙 lol

Usually when two picture are put together they are related or thought to be.
Stop trying to think, it will save you much anguish and pain, and the world will be a better place.
You thought they were the same car - wrong
You thought I was sensitive - wrong
You thought you had meaning in this world - wrong
You thought you knew what the words sentence coherence meant - wrong
You thought I was a girl - my swingin dick says otherwise
You know you want some - I don't swing that direction

nope, he shot through the CLOSED door's window. Sheriff agreed DOOR was CLOSED
most people will agree, kid shouldn't have tried breaking down the door. My point was, there was more to the story.
Most news reports left out the fact that he had a baby with his EX.. Kid was running off the porch when the 3rd round hit him in the back about 10 feet away.
Like I said, there was a bit more to the story then most news reports explained.

For me, the ev hate comes from numerous things:

1. I don't like having shit shoved down my throat by .Gov. (see gavin Newsom's latest proclamation)

2. There is nothing economical about them, and comparing a Tesla to a truck is infantile. How much lumber will that Tesla haul.

3. The infrastructure for charging, and the time it takes for charging is a big issue to me.

4. The fact that someone other than the driver can manipulate the vehicle is a non-starter for me.

5. Many ev drivers will be much less enamored with them when it comes time to replace that battery.

6. We, as a country, have a very tenuous power grid now. Can you imagine if ev's made up just 50% of the vehicles on the road?

I guess my biggest gripe is, why does everything have to be either/or. Why can't we have gasoline, diesel, electric, propane, hydrogen, and whatever else they come up with.

It takes an extremely narrow mind to believe ev's alone will end pollution. Between what it takes to produce the vehicles and batteries, to disposal of used batteries, not to mention the generation of the electricity. If you think windmills and solar will do it, talk to the good folks in Texas about how well that worked out last winter.

What makes ev's so popular with the eco-nazis is that they can't walk to the rear of the vehicle and see the pollution, therefore, it doesn't exist. kind of like meat eaters that won't hunt, because they don't want to see where the meat comes from.

Just my opinion. Yours may vary. Not throwing shade, just stating MY thoughts.
My biggest gripe would the government paying people thousands of dollars to buy them. If they are viable, let them stand of their own merits.

im in agreement, i think the resentment comes from "pro EV" attitude is perceived as superior or alike

if EV's/Musk werent marketed or reported (weather its actually true or not) as superior id bet more people would be open to EV's...good or bad.

personally i think the short or local haul trucking will be a huge benefit with EV trucks/ semi's

look at a industrial park;

a truck idles more than it drives waiting for dock appointments and being loaded

making short hops a slower speeds

increased torque quicker acceleration from the frequent stop signs and lights

all those situations make a EV truck a superior vehicle for transportation compared to a rig

even if the EV truck itself is a wash for the environment, just the movement of traffic from red light with a quicker accelerating truck will reduce congestion and reduce emissions from the other cars sitting stationary longer rather than getting a few more cars through a light etc

long range or long haul where there is no infrastructure is not the best idea

but theyll push cars with 1000hp which no one needs, and self driving tech which isnt ready yet

Well, being young and dumb, my first cars were a ‘64 Mustang and a ‘69 Camaro, both of which I sold for very little due to excessive tickets (totally unwarranted tickets of course).

They were both maroon/burgundy with black vinyl tops. Similar to this:
