Anyone making 8.6 Blackout prefits yet?

Anyone making 8.6 Blackout prefits yet?

Looking for a 16" 1/3 twist for my ARC Neculus.
I’m debating on doing an 8.6 myself for a deer and hog gun. Only thing is I’d have to get another suppressor since a standard 30 cal can won’t work for the 8.6.

I’d make sure you’re using a really tough or all copper bullet with a can. Otherwise you might be sending it back to the manufacturer with shrapnel in it lol.

I asked Proof if they would be producing a prefit for AI rifles in 8.6 blackout, and it was a emphatic NO

Mos-tek is making barrel nut prefits with savage or Remington threads

We have the tools, and are working on getting premium 1-3tw barrels
Greg, you were my next call, you built me an amazing rifle a long time ago, can’t wait to get a prefit from you.

Why a 1-3 twist? Berger's twist calculator shows their 300gr bullets stable at 1040 fps, even down to 0f and sea level with a 1-8 twist. What am I missing?

The twist rate puts the bullets into an extreme stress condition so that when they open up on impact the twist rate keeps them oriented point forward and accelerates expansion into what's basically a broadhead.

Anybody had experience with mos-tek? Wanted to build a blackout off an origin action so at this point the mos-tek is the only barrel with the right tenon threads.
I have a few 350 legend AR barrels from mos-tek and they are excellent.

Am doing this on an Origin with them right now, and they have been awesome so far. Good people for sure.

I also manufacture 8.6 Blackout ammo. I use once fired Hornady 6.5 brass, I anneal them in a AMP annealer, then size, anneal again, then final size and trim in a Honey Badger Case Trimmer and load with Maker 350gr Rex for hunting and Hornady 285gr ELD-M for target. All subsonic. I’m a licensed FFL manufacturer. Before I ship out I check them in a Sheridan case gauge. Ammo comes in a white 20rd cardboard box with styrofoam trays with my company logo and caliber.

EDIT - forgot to mention, if you save your brass I can reload it and it’ll save you money.

Ammo is the main thing holding me back since I dont reload because already have a TL3 I could use, just order a barrel and drop it in a chassis.

My prices are reasonable. I’m below what Gorilla Charges at the moment and if people save their brass I can always load the bullet of their choice (solid copper or bonded ONLY) or even offer annealing service if anyone needs access to an AMP annealer. I’m all setup for it.
