i have a UPR 10 and a AR10

I've been told that it is one of the hardest chamberings to get running in an AR, so I've stayed away from it. X-Caliber will make you a DPMS pattern barrel in .284, but they specifically waive any function or reliability claims.

The upr is bolt action.yet as far as I know upr has never chambered for 284win. Would the mag even work with a 284 cartridge?

odd that the 708 and the 284 have the same COL
Reubenski’s point is running light weight bullets that will keep you within the coal of a short action magazine are an underutilization of the 284 win cartridge. But, running the heavy for caliber bullets that make the 284 win shine will push you beyond the max coal dimension for a short action mag.

not really thinking about shooting F class matches with a UPR ,
