ATF getting ass fucked in Texas

We can only hope they will have the balls to call out their bullshit. If it benefits them it's not a gun. Also if it benefits them it is a gun. All of the double speak needs a good kick in the nuts.

Among other things I hope they call out the atf and force them to give a direct answer in writing that will apply consistently throughout the whole process. Better yet, they should subpoena the director and the top ten people in the whole agency and make them sign off on the definition.

If it is a gun they lose. If it's not a gun they lose. The only hope they have is being allowed to waffle back and forth any time it benefits them.

The best argument to end the tax and harassment for suppressors is that they are literally gun mufflers. If excessive noise is bad from cars or tools or music and needs to be lowered to create a safe work environment, then is needs to be reduced for firearms as well. It is far past time to end this bullshit law.

The ATF would be the first government organization to argue, more noise is better and that having excessive noise is a public safety issue. This would lead the way to tuners and aftermarket car parts companies demanding to increase exhaust noise for public safety.

Regarding suppressors (we call them moderators in the UK) it used to be nearly impossible to get one here until someone sued for hearing loss as he was a gamekeeper, so shot as part of his job. Health and safety and all that. Low and behold, they never turn you down now. We are supposed to have a 'reason to possess ' and all you say is hearing protection. I believe suppressors are banned completely in some countries. There is literally no reason at all why you wouldn't encourage everyone to use them all the time. Surely less noise is better for everyone. The other crazy thing is for a air rifle, you can just wander in the shop and buy a 22 rifle moderator. If you want one for your 22lr, they will sell you literally the same device but you need a open slot on your FAC,.and you have to register it etc. Very silly.

Your last sentence = been working for motorcycle riders for many years.

Trying to figure out why all my F1 apps say "...........to build a FIREARM". Can't imagine the "not a firearm" argument holds up, considering how many people have the same type of paperwork. They have been charging people to make a "firearm" since 1934: a FIREARM, says it right in bold.

I would, however, be totally cool with the TX rules on this. Made in, and kept in, your home state; exactly how it should be.
