Bullet tip dressing

It's mostly an F-class process. Trim and point bullets. Unless your shooting F-class I wouldn't waste my time. And if you are shooting F-class the consensus seems to be there is more to be gained by sorting base to tip and then go straight to pointing. Or if wanting to squeeze it all do all 3 length sort, trim and then point.

I have also understood that pointing length sorted bullets is better than trimming.
Very small practical gains with already good match ammo, and totally waste of time with cheaper ammo.

As mentioned above unless you are shooting F Class probably just a waste of time. I shoot F Open and sort , meplat trim and point my bullets with most of the people I shoot with doing the same. Can't say empirically it makes a difference and just one of the reloading steps. Don't do for my precision rifles. If at some point you decide it something you need/want to do I would recommend you look at the following;
