Hnt26 ?

I only have one of these chassis, but ive had two barreled actions in it. A Lone Peak razor with proof barrel and a Defiance anti with proof barrel. The action contact points are even and accuracy is very good. Screw torque torque variation didnt affect accuracy or zero with either action. I live in a fairly cold place so 70 deg inside, to low teens/20’s outside, nothing appears like its moving(zero wandering). The forend seems at least as stiff as an aluminum one. Cant speak to the arca rail as mine doesnt have that.

I've heard second hand that the ARCA rail gets chewed up with use. This was on an NRL Hunter rifle. The solution is to add an aluminum ARCA rail via M-Lok.
If it's only for hunting, I believe the rail would hold up. But for comp use where you're attaching/detaching ARCA components under 'hard' use, I'd imagine you'd see some wear just like a metal ARCA rail. This is the biggest con for the HNT26 for me. And why I'd also look at the Element 4.0 MG. But having a CF chassis during a cold weather hunt vs. a magnesium chassis makes the HNT26 an easy choice. Had a customer complaining about his Element MG chassis for this very reason and was looking at the HNT26.

The HNT26 is very well made and machined, but it is not the type of chassis I will be breaking down frequently. The fore end connection with those small screws are not something I like to disassemble. I went with the non Arca version and attached an aluminum Arca rail.
I know I'm bumping a 3 month old thread, but what arca rail did you use?
I'm looking to pick up 2 HNT26's this year and can't decide if I want to get the arca version and use the integrated CF arca rail, or get the non-arca version and add an mlok arca rail for extra durability. Neither rifle will be for comp use, mostly hunting use-- so I'm leaning towards the arca versions to save a little weight as my intended use shouldn't put a lot of wear on the integrated CF arca rail.
Agree with everything above. I used a 10" salmon river solutions arca. Fit perfect and didn't add much weight. I like their arcas a lot.
We are hopefully about to start offering rifles build on hnt26.
Just for sake of transparency, we have heard some grumblings of zero retention issues. Which wouldn't be unheard of in such a speciality chassis.
To be fair though, being so light and also likely being utilized in higher recoiling chambering, it's also very likely people just don't shoot the rifles as well as others.
So, we have two in house now that we'll be checking for POI shifts. Though I am confident it will perform like most all MDT products.

Now imagine your rifle weight without that suppressor on, or shave half the weight of that scope off, and thats how light your gun would be with the HNT-26
It also doesn’t right fold, which is a bummer. But then again youre not stuck running R700 receivers either.
I played with one in store last week, not a fan of the left fold, the grip or the built in ARCA rail. It's light, it looks to be well built, and even as odd as it is to say, it looked good. $1500 is a lot of coin for something like that IMHO but if I were to get one I would do like the others and opt for one without the built in ARCA rail and add an aluminum rail, there will be much better durability.
