Hey Guys I'm thinking about purchasing a Impact brand action. Just to be clear the bolts strip in the same manner a stock Remington bolt does?

Thanks!

Thanks! So it's a fancy shoelace. ☺ Does the impact bolt have a dime slot?
Hoped the tool was some kind of extractor remover..

I believe your right.. the ejector plunger and spring. I assume a roll pin or the likes holds it in.

No special tool needed there either.
Drive the cross pin out but leave the punch(nail) inserted until you can put your finger over top the end to keep the plunger from shooting out when you pull the punch out (or do it all in a ziploc etc).

When Im done and need to resinstall it I will start the cross pin into the hole so it can hold itself but not so far as to impend the guts and the put the spring and then plunger guts back in the hole loosly. Ill then slide a case under the extractor so I can just rock the case back with one fingers leverage vs having to hold the pin straight down below flush with my finger. A couple whacks with a hammer will have the prestarted pin further in enough to hold the stuff and you can relax and hammer to final position.
