Saw that yesterday. Glad the officer survived and she got what was coming.

That said, doughnut man has no business being a street cop. Admin sure but not on the street. He looks like he couldn’t run 2 feet with having a heart attack.

He's probably alive because the bullets didn't penetrate far enough into his chest.

He sure lit her up with that tazer!

He must have had it set on skinny.

When the cop got back up he should of dumped the mag right through the door.

My thought as well, maybe I'm just too spiteful, but I'd have emptied the mag, reloaded and done it again, "if I'm dead because of this you're coming with me you stupid bitch", nothing to lose at that point. Plus I don't want her getting out and coming to finish me off.

It's not even Monday morning. ;)

Unfreakin real. The enforcement class life under a whole different set of rules. Everyone else, citizens, hunters etc are under strict legal obligation to know what hell we are shooting at.

If it was the police they would of fired 1,905,674 rounds to get 70 hits.In a classice case of police contagious fire Police fired over 200 rounds at boat where unarmed 19 year old Boston bomber was hiding. He was not hit.
In a classic case of Police-Contagious-Fire, police fire over 200 rounds at a boat in a residential driveway, where 19 year old Boston bomber suspect was believed to be hiding. He was unarmed and not one bullet hit him…….

There is no such thing as too dead.

And as someone who thinks overkill doesn’t really exist this probably comes close to it. 🤣😂🤣

Suicide by cop...wonder if he even had anything in his hand?

No, it's homicide by cop. Suicide is death by your own hands, whereas homicide is death by another. Anyways, there was another similar incident where a guy was armed with just a folding knife or something that looked like that. He had it exposed the whole time. Then holds it up like a handgun without advancing towards anyone and firing squad commences. From what I remember the cops got into a bit of hot water over it because apparently each one of them knew it was not a gun from the get-go and yet shot him anyways. They really need to get a better protocol to deal with these people who are obviously having a major breakdown.

From what I saw in the video, he was trying to pose a threat to the officers...so they lit his ass up. I doubt any of the officers were convicted of homicide in that case. Whether folks want to agree with "suicide by cop" language or not, that sure looked like what dead duder wanted to happen.

Leaves more for me.

Well, when someone is suicidal and they look for assistance to accomplish their task, it is illegal for anyone to assist. Anyone remember Jack Kevorkian? I personally think that cops should be charged with homicide anytime they assist in a suicide. I guarantee if that happened more often, the protocol would change and cops better trained in crisis management and de-escalation would be the ones who show up to get the suicidal suspect the help they need.

Yeah that looks pretty justified to me. He certainly was deliberately insinuating that he had a weapon. The way he motioned sure looked like a gun draw.

Also I don’t really see the cops escalating. That said, we don’t know who was escalating prior to that moment. I think it is fair to debate better ways of handling folks in a mental crisis for sure. It seems cops receive very little training in that area and training in deescalation seems to be all but missing.

Cops are only armed to protect themselves. Put yourself in that situation, wearing a uniform or not, and tell us you would have acted differently. Someone poses a threat to me or someone I care about is not getting "kid gloves" treatment.
