Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

This question is for @sirhrmechanic and @SONIC SAAMI

There has always been the age old question, "Ginger or Mary Ann?" How come we are never asked, "Jennifer or Bailey from WKRP?"

My vote is for Bailey.

Elon said early on, we’re summoning the demon

I was having a conversation with a buddy the other day and our conclusion is that none of this crap is AI. It’s bigger storage. Faster search algorithms. And big data mimicking intelligence.

Non of this BS is even close. There is no existential threat as long as they just keep piling on more code to try and look intelligent.

When AI comes… if it comes… it will come with very little code. No database links. And probably from biological-based chips. Which were a research branch 20’years ago but largely fizzled when storage got cheap.

Musk is 100 percent right that AI is an existential threat. Fortunately even the work he is doing creating/training it is still just big data.

Chatgpt is 60,000 GPUs and counting. And thousands of AI engineers and hundreds of thousands of classifiers who provided intelligent responses. . It can’t reproduce itself. It’s to computers what encyclopedia Britannia was to the printing press.

You would think somebody would have learned a lesson from OS/2.

You don’t make a program faster or better by assigning more engineers to write more kloc!

Sirhr

For anyone who remembers a KLOC was 1000 lines of Code. That ended well!!!
