My uncle had a silver one when I was a kid. My cousin and I felt like little kings riding around in it.

An old high school GF (mid 70's) had one that she drove, and her dad insisted I drive it when we went out. Safer, quieter, not a hod rod. It was an older Model Mark III but it sure could get out of it's own way. This one (18K miles) sold recently for nearly 10X it's sticker price when new.

I drove a Catalina with the 421 SD engine with a four speed. Her dad used to ask about it as people would stop and ask about it. Then one day, I made the mistake of Ietting him drive it, I have regretted doing so ever since. Years later I got a later model with the tri-power but it was bigger, heavier, and had less power.

Well ya see, Eddie… vampires are repelled by garlic. And Twilight is a series of movie about millennial hipster vampires, whose fans are largely considered to be gay losers. So Garlic Coke that repels vampires is going to offend this snowflake generation of tranny-loving…. Oh never mind.

Coach, get me a beer. Not a bud light.

PS. on reflection probably the whole thing is a comedy Bridge Too Far. My bad.

Uh, gee, sorry I missed it?

Borrowed this from another forum and had to share. :ROFLMAO:

OLD WOMAN AND THE MULE
An old woman walked up and tied her old mule to the hitching post.
As she stood there, brushing some of the dust from her face and clothes, a young gunslinger stepped out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other.
He looked at the woman and laughed,
"Hey old woman, have you ever danced?"
The old woman looked up at the gunslinger and said, "No ... I never did dance ... Never really wanted to."
A crowd has gathered as the young gunslinger grinned and said, "Well you old bag, you're gonna dance now!", and started shooting at the old woman's feet.
The old woman prospector - not wanting to have her toes blown off- started hopping around. Many were laughing.
When his last bullet was fired, the gunslinger, still laughing, holstered his gun and turned around to go back into the saloon.
The old woman turned to her pack mule, pulled out a double-barreled shotgun and cocked both hammers. The loud clicks carried clearly through the desert air, and the crowd immediately stopped laughing.
The gunslinger heard the sounds too, and turned around very slowly. The silence was almost deafening. The crowd watched tensely as he stared at the woman and the large gaping holes of those twin barrels.
The barrels of the shotgun never wavered in her hands as she quietly said, "Son, have you ever kissed a mule's ***?"
The gunslinger swallowed hard and said, "No m'am, but I've always wanted to"

My parents, 49 years and 2 days after they first met. My dad showed up at her parents place to visit one of her brothers on his new at the time Norton. My brother and I pulled it out of storage and got it going last spring, still on the original tires too.
