No, no, no, that would severely challenge their idealistic, and yet totally unrealistic, view of him which would lead any normal human to question what other deeply held views might make them look like non critical thinking baffoons. Their minds are like a house of cards; pull one card and the whole thing collapses. They protect that from happening at all costs. It’s the reason you can’t dialogue with a liberal, they will walk away as soon as you bring facts to the conversation that would effectively pull one of the cards. It’s why I think it’s a mental illness and a severe example of sticking you head in the sand.
