I saw a white great horned owl last winter while I was Elk hunting. Probably a once in a lifetime thing. He was sitting on the side of an outlet canal at a nearly empty lake. I walked around some Tamarisk and he was sitting there on the side of the canal about 30 feet away. I followed it for while trying to get a picture but it never let me get that close again.
