My friend had one of those when I was a kid. We killed a lot of Japs and Germans with it.

That brings back memories....
I remember those things but don't recall any of the gang having one.
We just made do with dirt clods or the odd may pop with an M80 stuffed in it for grenades.
My buddies grandpa delt in military surplus so we did have sho' 'nuff honest to goodness helmets, uniforms and web gear though.
And we had an opposing trench systems about 25 yards apart complete with dugouts too.
Worked out butts off digging those things with entrenching tools....
Those were the days...

An interesting story about this. I was once at a football game when my nephews were playing in high school. This game was during the early afternoon, and I was sitting there during a time out, staring up into the clouds. All of a sudden a stealth popped out of one cloud went across a clear area and disappeared in another cloud. I was thrilled. I looked around and said, “did you see that! Did anybody else see that…. anybody?”

We made similar things with two bolts and a nut screwed together and filled with the red composition scraped off match heads.

A strip of material as a tail helped them land end on to the concrete and increased reliability.

Bolt bombs, as we called them, could be filled with a little bit of composition for a bang or a lot for a real crack and the chance of fragmentation as the threads in the nut stripped under the pressure of the explosion.

Looks a lot better From when I saw it just before Christmas.

I am glad they are taking care of it. Personally I think they should do the this treatment to her after she is fixed up. I also think they should do the same with Olympia.

In a van down by the river, you can't swing a meth head by his ankles without his head hitting an oak tree.

Should have been named Oak Valley then as the Willamette doesn't flow on the ridges.

What is sad about Oakridge is the decline of the area over the last 40 years. When I was in high school, it was a much more prosperous community (timber industry) and larger population.
