These people are defective. They are wired wrong. In any other society they would be banished, burned as witches or simply used as community property. But back then, people had to work to survive. They didn't have all day to sit around contemplating ways to be fucked in the head... they had fields to plant or fabric to weave... wheat to thresh... whatever. Now they have free time and government checks to pay for thousands of dollars worth of tats and blue hair and recreational pharmaceuticals and blogs...
Time is going to come when they are going to go back into their closets or find some island of misfit toys to call home. Because blue hair and shit tats makes them obvious devients and, by extension, the first to go.
