Well, here’s to the hope that you take it out of the safe. And it’s one rifle that will never, ever leave the safe.

Luck has nothing to do with it.
Nope, neither has my wife. She has no interest in that crap. The only diamond she owns is the one on her engagement ring, there’s no designer purses or shoes in the closest.Have you ever looked at the price of fine jewelry , Hermes, Christian Louboutin or Chanel? My wife can have that beat in a single outfit.
It’s really no different than any other hobby for a woman. I can’t say my wife doesn’t like diamonds and I like buying them. It’s not high maintenance for me any more than I am high maintenance for her. She takes good care of herself and does so much for the family so why not spoil her? She certainly doesn’t demand anything or expect anything. I enjoy it to be honest. To each and their own. But the question was whether a woman can spend the amount of money on their hobbies or interests that a man can and the answer is yes. Strictly speaking though, firearms is a relatively cheap hobbie for lots of men. Racing cars, boats, and car collecting are all infinitely more expensive for the most part. I just think you shouldn’t have to lie to decieve your spouse on what you choose to buy or how much it costs. Just don’t think dishonesty is healthy for a marriage.Nope, neither has my wife. When I was dating I purposely avoided high maintenance women for this reason.
Exactly.Horses?! And we here talkin'bout rifles being expensive!!! Haha
My AXSR 24” 308 and 26” 6.5 (both stock AI) both balance on a piece of 3/4” ply right in the middle of the “hump” (section in front of the magwell. No added weights. As for the barrel contour, I’m sure someone will chime in with the specs but I’d imagine kind of like an M24/M40 contour. How do these things balance? What's the stock barrel contour comparable to?
Just lift weightsExactly.

If you can bench 275 and work in concrete, you too can manhandle the AI and the 12+lb bolt lift
Well I don't work in concrete but I can easily bench 275, so no issues there. I was more curious how they balance for people using them in various disciplines.Just lift weights

The stock AI contour is a bit heavier than a medium palma. I just measured my factory 308 vs a med palma contour I have on hand.Well I don't work in concrete but I can easily bench 275, so no issues there. I was more curious how they balance for people using them in various disciplines.
What kind of dual-scope mount is that?View attachment 8322512
Zco > Gen3
It’s Flips proof, even more betterWhat kind of dual-scope mount is that?
Vertical binocular riflescope vision would allow me to shoot while leisurely reclining upon my “range sofa.”
Save me some cheddar vs. Swaro’s BTX.
Is it Cheeto-proof?
@pfl338 makes M30 barrel tennon bore guides. Remove the barrel from the action, screw on bore guide and your ready to go. He sells them on eBay.What bore guide options is there for a 300wm axsr?
AI makes a guide for the MC (which fits the SR) if you don’t want to remove the barrel. I use this occasionally but I usually pull the barrel. If you don’t care, get @pfl338 ’s guides. I have the set of three and they’re great. What bore guide options is there for a 300wm axsr?

Your post had a joke in it? lol
Is that a Leupold on that ATX?
Thanks for the essayYour post had a joke in it? lol
@DKN83 ‘s post seems to imply AT-X rifles are for old folks. I don’t think he was even referencing your joke per se, but responding to just the image of a AT-X.
Yours? No idea.
“The X we have at home” phrase usually seems to mean that here is the inferior version that we have access to. The unattainable original thing is much better.
If your joke is: the “inferior” thing you have is only different than the original thing mainly by color (for example, mint green vs. FDE, or folder vs. non-folder)…
well, uh, ha…ha?
Edit: Or is this a Leupold scope joke? That’s a little funny.
For those who almost lost their eyesight after all those Remingtons, Leupolds and new era AI.
This is for you![]()

If you just buy a real AXSR it comes with the rest for freeCrazy question.. if I was to buy a chassis say, AXSR/A Is it feasible to build a rifle from that point on? I'm just curious.
So, you’d buy a take-off AXSA chassis…and then what? Where would you get an AI action cheap enough where it would make financial sense?Crazy question.. if I was to buy a chassis say, AXSR/A Is it feasible to build a rifle from that point on? I'm just curious.
If you have the cash, buy the AXSR. If you don’t have THAT much cash, buy the ATX.Crazy question.. if I was to buy a chassis say, AXSR/A Is it feasible to build a rifle from that point on? I'm just curious.
