Not sure why that would change the amount being financed in an upward direction. Usually (always?) financing the same amount of money at the same interest rate for longer periods of time decreases the payment but increases the total payout.
Using a simple internet loan calculator ...
~$32k at 8.99% for 60 months makes for ~$66X/mo payment, ~$38k @ 8.99% for 72 mo is ~$68X and ~44k/76mo is ~$76X so all the finance math seems right ... it's just the amount to be financed keeps changing
It could be the awetastic extended warranty like SS says but my mind rejects the thought of $6k for one extra year of warranty and recoils at the idea of another $6k for only 4 more months of warranty.

The number of news reported shootings is skyrocketing around here but I don't know if the raw numbers are up or if it's just reporting for upcoming political drama.
When telemarketers call about extending my warranty, I ask them if t applies to the ‘43 Willys or the ‘66 International.
I have yet to have one continue with the call.
Same thing but I try to ask as many questions as possible about the benefits of the warranty before saying I have a '72 F150 or VW beetle ... every so often I get a 'fuck you' as they hang up ... totally worth the time.
Well you know the F150 wasn't introduced until 1975.
Before 1975 all have 1/2 ton Fords still had the F100 designation.

I asked about my 92 Mercedes and they put the VIN in the system and gave me a quote. They use a canned closing pitch an when she got to the price she stuttered, then giggled, and said "This can't be right, let me run the numbers again. $1842 a month. She ran the numbers past her manager/ underwriter and then confirmed $1842 a month.

I absolutely agree about the “greatest sedan in the world”. This car is absolutely amazing. The only wrinkle I could present is the W140 V12. That car is amazing too
I know Schmee is a bit annoying but this car is incredible
