If you haven't had one before, a little primer :ROFLMAO: Somewhat satire, but a lot of truth about cattle dogs.

Yep terrible pets......(disclaimer I have had heelers almost my whole life and very aware of the way they need to be started and handled). Every one of ours has been a complete family dog. He loves his buddy cat they sleep together and try to destroy the house together. They will chase each other across the top of the couch also.

Kinda like the people that get Border Collies, The dogs are smarter than the masters. My kid and then girlfriend (now wife) just HAVE to have that CUTE German Shepherd puppy. Now he's mad at the dog because always wants to be around them and the baby, I told him that's what they do, they are there to protect, don't get upset for him doing his job!

Canadian Rockies. Near Banff.

I was logging in the Mission Mt's of Montana. Driving down the road I spotted a baby Griz eating some berries about 50 feet from the road so I stopped to look at him. Watched for about 10 seconds then Mom stood up. Impressive. I got back in the car quickly. Beautiful animals but not tobe fucked with.

My old man had one in his old age. It was definitely a one-man dog. But awesome. He adopted it from a local family that had kids and the dog was NOT good with kids. At least not those kids.

They are fine pets... but not the most sociable of dogs. They will latch on to one person, however. And be the most loyal animal on the planet. Highly intelligent, too. Almost as smart as a cat! ;-)

Oh look… Polite bears!

Yea, she was polite. She didn’t kill me or anything.

The shoot made me want a longer lens. This was shot at 200mm. Getting a 100-400 soon.

It was the most amazing nature moment I have been privileged to enjoy. Momma bear teaching her cub to eat grass. She would grab a mouth full, then stare at her cub till it did the same. She then chewed and swallowed, while making eye contact with her cub, till it did the same. Repeat.

I’m not a wildlife photographer, so it was a treat for me.

She let me follow along for a while.

I got some pix of a Griz in Yellowstone c. 2010... Leica M8 with 135. I was plenty close. It was just cool to see a bear. Great picture!!!

Bear pictures are always cool!

It’s somewhat a sarcastic video. Matt’s got a pretty dry sense of humor. Mostly directed at people who want a working dog to be an apartment lap dog.

Nice color! And dang, making me rethink pushing the easy button by going with something from Lowe’s for our new casita/garage bathroom vs. having something built. Even after we swap out the hardware, this is a few rungs down the ladder:

Color is “Midnight” and we REALLY like it. There will be rough sawn shelves instead of upper cabinets.

Our bath vanity is from Lowes and it is nice (plywood box with HDF milled door) and it wasn’t expensive. When I went to investigate kitchen cabinets I was underwhelmed.

My old neighbor is a manager for a huge granite counter seller/installer and he got me these for what the company pays (the markup on these and countertops is unbelievable).

He is doing the granite as well once I get them installed.

The thing to look for no matter where they come from is plywood boxes and either solid (wood) or HDF (painted) doors.

I have stated here before that we are living in a 1991 mobile home that was here when we bought this acreage. We have plans done for our home but prices and current events have us holding off.

So we plan to have the bougiest trailer on our side of the mountain. #trailerlyfe
