Not knowing about Swift is like not knowing about Elvis.
Isle of Man TT on board. Milky Quayle no longer races and this lap is about 5 minutes slower than the lap record....
That was hilarious!
Well that was a subtle snub!
A friend of mine was Air Force, and deployed in 2003 or 2004 (if memory serves). He said at night you'd hear and feel the rumble. He said "B1-B is in town." On take off, they'd point the nose straight up and immediately gain altitude.Always amazes me how “svelt” the b-1 looks and how big the b-2 is
Right next to the buttons for Paint It, Black, The Ride of the Valkyries, and Suicide Solution. My kids call it the Vietnam song on my playlist.
Then one of them say sarcastic “yes dad we know that they should put a button and have that song embedded in the helicopter”
Why ? Looks double nut to me! Lol.That is how bad accidents on the highway happen.

A freaking bomber! USA! USA! USA!
I’m thinking it wasn’t literal “vertical”No..
The B1 cannot go vertical and gain altitude. Their thrust to weight ratio is about the same as a B52, around 1-4. You need to be at 1-1 or less to be able to go vertical and gain speed.
I've sat at EOR with the F-4 and F-111. If you want to feel what real raw power is like, that's the place to be. I've only been able to sit on the taxi way when a B1 took off about 100 yards away. That was very impressive.
Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions Super Bowl pictures.
That's not typical. That's an upgrade on I-55.
What angle could it climb?No..

Even though we want the electric "e" in the word Lightning, it's not. Here's your vertical climb. An English Electric Lightening from the 1950's and 60's. Two jet engines and that sumbitch could climb vertically all day.

How many kids do I need to sell to get one of these?
Funny story time: The first real job I got after tech school was a large dealership and one of the makes in our shop was Lexus. We had an ES300 towed in that all of the brakes had been fried on. Pads, rotors, calipers at all 4 wheels needed to be replaced. The story from the customer was that all of a sudden the engine went to redline and they had to push the brake pedal as hard as possible with both feet to get it stopped. When the Lexus guys started looking at it they found a tiny Maglight wedged in the throttle body linkage. The customer said it had just had some work done at another shop so they called and asked “Hey, are you guys missing a tiny Maglight?” At first they were excited to get the light back. Then the situation was explained further. Then they weren’t so excited to replace all of the fried brake parts for free…Well there's where it went!
Been looking all over for that!

Or fuel
I've been at EOR when F-15's and F-22's were taking off to do mock combat against each other. Very big difference in noise. In other news, the pilots were telling me that the F-15's needed 5-1 ratio and visual to take out F-22.No..
