I have no idea, it was a long time ago I heard the story and didn't take notes.
Seriously, it wasn't a documentary, this is what you fixate on from that thread?

"A long time ago" or Pre-Hill law, an average work week at an Ivy internship would average 100-115 hr/wk on minimal salary. These hospitals aren't in the nicest neighborhoods - so add at least 30 min. commute minimum each way on the night you go were permitted to go home to sleep (and back at crack of dawn). Surgery especially stayed the old boys club the longest - probably until around the 1990s, specifically because only women got pregnant back then during their internships and residencies.

Some folks will probably say I'm totally wrong, but with medical malpractice being just about one of the biggest causes of not natural deaths in this country, perhaps someone should look long and hard at the stupid practice of insane work hours which only benefit the top money men.

I mean we don't allow truck drivers to work more than x hours in a shift or xx hours in a day but somehow it's a "good thing" to make your medical staff work crazy stressful hours and harsh conditions and such all for the glory and income of the insurance companies?

They aren't morons. I've said it before and I will say it again. These people aren't morons.
They are an evil and calculated enemy with an agenda to destroy the United States of America.
What can I do to get you guys to realize this?
To think of them as merely ignorant is a dangerous thing to do.
I'd suggest that one ones in charge are indeed evil.

The 'protesting in the street' types? Morons aka useful idiots

The world agrees that killing a 5 year old is murder, the world is very mixed on abortion. Is forcing a mother to cary a non viable baby to delivery risking her life reasonable? Or what about forbidding the day after pill for a raped woman. Where is the line?
List the gun bills to get rid of all guns, Republicans use it as a scare tactic. In most elections the candidates are not pushing any gun laws or have no chance of getting anything passed. Taxes, Trump increased our trade deficit with his trade war, spent like crazy increasing debt and passed a tax cut without reducing spending. Republicans are mostly talk and spend like crazy. I am Republican, but it is hard to defend the dumpster fire that is our party right now.
I don't think anyone is arguing that your example of an abortion should be banned, but aborting a 9 month old fetus because you changed your mind, or repeatedly using abortions because birth control is too difficult is not cool by me. Those are wildly different scenarios, and just maybe, a one size fits all solution doesn't work. And why would anyone be against the day after pill? Just like most, I only don't want to have to pay for someone else's poor life choices. I don't know, but I imagine here in Canada, the day after pill is probably provided free of charge, while someone that needs an epi pen has to pay full price.
