There was a fight in a bar on the beach here in the 70's, somebody calls cops from pay phone, cop comes sliding in and jumps out of the car and runs in to quell the disturbance, no disturbance all quiet. Cop walks out of bar to find his Crown Vic out on the third bar in the surf with lights still flashing! The next morning at high tide the lights were all that was above water was the lights, still flashing! It would have made an excellent ad for car batteries. It is still known as Kody's Car Wash. I have no idea who did it. ;-))))))I had an instructor in auto tech who said he stole a cop car once. Getting drunk somewhere throwing rocks at trucks on the road and running and hiding. Cop shows up he runs. Cop chases, he just runs around the building when he comes bqck around to the front the car is running door is open and cherries are on.
He is like i jump in drive off. I was laughing tearing down dirt roads spinning donuts and shit and all at once he said he realized. I can't unsteel this cop car. Like I can't just go give it back and we all have a good laugh.
He said he never did get caught and the crime was never reported or talked about publicly. The town is less then 1500 so word gets around.

I think I have found a use for AI, it should be fitted to all motor vehicles and connected to the turn signals to give a warning of what the idiot behind the wheel is planning to do...

They hardly EVER prosecute that crime. It is normally very difficult to prove beyond a reasonable doubt unless you have all the text messages, emails, communications, and the perp writes a book where he talks about buying crack during the same time period he bought the gun.
As has been pointed out, the laptop has evidence of hundreds of lock-you-up-and-throw-away-the-key felonies as well as treason punishable by death, and these are literally the only crimes on it that don't link back directly to Joe Biden.
