Don’t they strap on metal spurs for cock fighting
Yeah. I just did a search to see the difference between the knives; from Mexican short knives to Philippine long knives to gaffs. Good Lord, I didn't know that world existed.

There are hundreds of different knives and gaffs to put on those birds, depending on their fighting styles and breeds, from birds that are fliers that go up spurring to ones that spur on the way down to ones that hook behind the heads of their opponent.

i also saw it's illegal in Texas to even be in possession of a cockfighting gaff or knife.

Yeah, but you have about 7 more points on Relative Humidity there at PHX.

True, it is still that way here.

I did cancel the Cowboy Action/SASS Match on Saturday and they Canceled the NRA Silhouette Matches on Sunday. Don’t want to take chances shooting steel in those conditions

Not in June this year but a airgun club in Phoenix has occasional nighttime steel matches at PRGC called UFT/ ultimate field target. Starts about 8 and ends about 11. Dry heat and 90's but still uncomfortable for people like me who live at 7000 ft when the temps we are used to are in the 60's and 70's at night.

Nice to drive 2 hours down there in January to shoot a day match though!

Arizona is a great state for shooting!

We didn't have AC and worked and played outside all summer in Texas.

Worked in a rock quarry like convicts all summer, cutting limestone masonry stone with 3lb. hammers and sledge hammers, wearing no shirt and hat. Two of us would cut and load eight tons a day into a rock truck.

I thought pissing bright yellow and having a white ring around the mouth was normal until a nurse pointed out it was a sign of dehydration.
