I'm sure a few! It tops the list of stupid shit I did back then. I thought chasing armed felons through the woods in the dark was safer! More fun anyhow--
A storm was rolling in towards SoCal and the waves were so big you couldn't paddle out. Dumb ass entry level surfer wants to go big so he takes his board and jumps off the end of the pier at Imperial Beach with it. This guy was a Navy diver, all hooya and shit. Was 9' tall and bulletproof. Some waves weren't going to scare him off. By God he was going to surf. He caught a good one, and absolutely got slammed and crushed. Getting rolled on the bottom in 15' of water will get your attention. Everything was turning yellow and he was starting to see sparkles before he finally broke the surface, and got a breath, only to have the next wave roll his ass again. This happened several more times before he made into calmer water and then shore. The guy was a dumb ass and had no business being out there. He learned a valuable lesson, and never went back out when it was rolling big again. Any resemblance I have to that guy is purely coincidence.
Been there, done that. On vacation in Hawaii. Wasn’t sure I was going to get out okay.
I dunno, I’m old. I wish my O-Ring would seal up that tight………..

this is perfect to show those who say" a dog needs a big yard and putting them in a crate is cruel". my rotts loved their crates,went in voluntarily and had np staying in them for hours. also,the best way to house break a puppy. they're dening as well as pack animals. tying them out is the truely cruel thing.
