Heard them invoked many times during the Floyd-inspired riots and I think this may be the pinnacle for me; this is my favorite meme so far.
Something to ponder: shooter might have taken a perfect shot at President Trump.
He might have missed because he bought the ammo that morning. True zero’s can shift using same ammo different lot or he bought a different brand same caliber and weight bullets, but velocities and components are different from brand to brand. Has anyone thought of this?

I mean, seeing as we're on a forum called Sniper's Hide, where everybody can get first-round hits on 1/4-MOA targets at 1,800 yards with a .308, I think we all know this already haha.
But in all seriousness, yes... most shooters who know their shit get their rifles zeroed and DOPE established with a consistent lot of ammo—whether their own hand loads or factory/box. I buy my ammo in 1,000-round lots and re-zero and gather new workup data out to 1,000 yards every time I switch lots. That said... at under 200 yards, I don't think it would matter much. The shooter "missed" because Trump turned his head at the last second, most likely as the shooter was puling the trigger. So I don't think the ammo mattered much.
What would actually have a larger impact on hitting or missing that first shot is wind and cold-bore vs hot. I highly doubt this kid gathered DOPE on one of his dad's random ARs (one gun among many) to the point where he mapped out its cold-bore shot.

had trump not been available might he have gone after another rep gathering close to him? if trump went down at rnd 1 or 2 there was time for him to get off 2-5(?) more and kill and severely wound 1 more. wild shot into the machime. actually lucky that only 2 more bystanders were hit. we saw in vegas what high volume fire could do in a large solid but distant crowd. just asking.

in fact,if my 1st shot was 1" out @ 150ish with a fairly unfamiliar gun,in ? condition,prob untested load,an optic with no mag,and i bet a poor trigger,shitty poition i would be delighted. i think anyone should/would be.
know quality gun,known worked with load,good trigger,appropriate optic,solid rest still acceptable IMHO.

This is fake. It's not continuous time. Trumps hand was not in the air when the shot broke.
Elevation was on. Wind moved the shot...head turn did help too though...just not as extreme as this video.
Had the shooter taken wind into account properly, he would have nailed Trump. Good thing he didn't

1. Video captured shooter casing the building about an hour before Trump took stage. You can see him walking in background.
2. SS claims they requested a police cruiser be parked by that building as a deterrent and local LE denied request, stating they didn't have the resources.
3. FBI hacked shooter's phone and discovered he had been researching the appearance/speaking schedules for BOTH Trump and Biden... implying he was considering to assassinate and/or shoot up the crowds at either one or both. So this is in line with info coming from former classmates that he hated ALL politicians and this might not have been an attack on the Republican party, specifically. Merely the most opportunistic target at the time.

unfortunately, they made it so fucking easy for this shooter, it cannot help but inspire others to try again.
