I was told by someone in the know shortly after this happened that the shooter was shot in the neck. That was at 6:33 PST. Exact quote "The shooter took a round in his neck before Trump ducked down. 200 yards shot" He was prior USSS and DSS so I trust what info he told me. He has been retired a couple of years but still talks to a lot of them.
Based on the one pic from the SR25 point of view it aligns well. He has been busy and hasn't updated me since the initial info. The exit wound near the neck/ear/jaw area in the death pic could be correct for a neck shot? Could that explain why his teeth are blown out? Just a different perspective and some info I have not seen mentioned yet.

I would imagine that's why Trump pays 10 times more than that standard "price." And why I think he may also have people on the look out for saboteurs. I'm not saying it can't happen (i.e. someone Soros backed), but I'd be curious as to what "price" that Soros person received.

No idea on the actual team "numbering" (what team is what number) but there is video coming directly from Director Cheeto's mouth there were 4 CS teams total; 2 USSS, 2 "local" (as in not USSS). The 2 USSS CS teams were on the red barn structures behind the podium as you've seen in the videos and pictures so far. The 2 local teams were inside the two-story building.
The sad/interesting part was what else she said around this. The second USSS CS team was only added in response to the "heightened threat from Iran". So yeah, a former President and current candidate only rates a detail of two USSS counter snipers as a "normal" detail according to her.
Gotcha. I was under the impression from this thread that there was a team located on a building to the far left of Trump that had the cs team with the sr25. I believe both teams behind him on the red buildings were running bolt guns, correct?

Yes, the shooters rifle and optics and ammo are all known. The ammo was purchased shortly before the rally, off the shelf plinking ammo. It is currently sitting in the Quantico lab. The likely hood of photos leaking from that point are slim to none.

Lots of bad information floating around out there, even from supposed experts. Wrong end of building, wrong building, multiple shooters/wrong angles, ricochets as evidence for another shooting angle, etc...
A couple things stand out to me right now. If some of the shots after his initial 3 were from local LEO, then it seems the officer had to be already watching the shooter when he started firing. Also, the early photos showed both CS teams behind the grandstands clearly all looking that direction on their rifles when firing started. This leaves only team 3, who appear to have taken him out. So 2, and possibly all 3 teams AND local LEO were watching him when he started firing? Seems hard to believe, after they already marked him out previously as a person of interest long beforehand. Possibly they expected the local LEO team to have the roof locked down, or maybe even occupied by LEO personnel, and this explains hesitation for potential friendly fire. But still, very very hard to believe.
Another thing that struck me, even the first time I saw the video, was lack of concern for another potential shooter when Trump was still on stage

When the "too slopey" was trotted out about the 2 degree roof, it became pretty obvious any further utterances from these people would be just as stupid. They don't care how stupid or preposterous anything sounds, they know, and everyone else knows, no matter what they say, nothing will happen to them, so they very likely say stupid things just to stir anger...because they can and will get away with it.
There are so many damn 8 x 10 color glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was to be used in a court of law against us...

Man. I listened to CNN on the way to work this morning just to see what those morons have to say lately. I ended up listening for like 30 mins and it was all about Biden's failed presidency and a ton of positive talk about Trump and his family. Kept looking at my screen to make sure I was really on CNN. They literally didn't bash on Trump once.
You know with modern digital processing... if every camera stream and smart phone picture from the rally was put in a database and merged... you could create a 3D virtual reality recreation of the event...
Such facilities exist... they are being used a lot for archaeology and historical preservation/conservation. Not to mention gaming and Virtual Reality training.
It's not like 1963 or 1980 when there is one or two videos and a handful of stills. There are terabytes of data availalbe from that day. It would actually be a very easy project (ok... relatively easy...) for someone to collect footage and mesh it all together.
Where's Elon Musk when you need him. I almost guarantee that somewhere in his organization is the facility to do it.

Interesting video. First... it's been mirrored/flipped. So we're actually looking at Trump's left ear. Not the one that was shot. Second, look at the comments lol. People are saying Trump wasn't even hit by a bullet, but by glass from the teleprompter being hit. Kinda interesting theory considering the photo of the bullet wizzing by his head. Also apparently people on Twitter thing a .223/5.56 grazing your hear would, "take your head off" or "decapitate" you. Where do people get this nonsense?

Also couldn't have been glass from teleprompter, as Trump's head was turned all the way to camera right 90 degrees. The ear that was shot was facing toward the crowd behind him. There's no way a piece of glass from a teleprompter could have hit him. If that were the case, it would mean a bullet came from trump's perspective: 2:00. Just not seeing how that's possible.

It's laughable, is it a thing? sure, but not something old mate and his weapon system would need to be concerned about in the least. I swear if I hear an expert also drop in 'spin drift' for this scenario I'm done.
How could the shooter miss? Everyone's a sharpshooter until they're not. I'd have more respect for someone who posted a factual assessment of the reality. Pick a random sample of 10 people that shoot, chuck em up on the roof, give them this rifle, add in some duress and a bit of zephyr and let each shooter put three rounds down range at a target 150 yards away. Grab yourself a 6" disc and then go ahead and count up all the rounds that fell outside this, there will be many lol.
I've shot in enough military styled shoots and been on countless hunts over the years to know this is the reality.
I used to run some long range comps and once started with some coins taped to a blacked out piece of wood. You nominated at what distance you could put a round through one using your own zeroed weapon, cold bore, first shot of the day. 200m = 2 points, 150 = 1.5 etc, a miss was a -1 penalty. All high grade precision systems, AI, DTA, TRG etc. Current and ex mil shooters, field conditions, laying prone, rocks, ants, wind etc. Run it and sit back and listen to the excuses lol. (And this was after a current mil sniper and another ex mil bloke both had concerns that a projectile won't go through the coin put instead push the whole coin through the pine board)
Down here we have some pretty big properties outback and in some years plagues of kangaroos. We also have 'Roo' shooters that earn their living off culling them. If you've seen the movie Wolf Creek, well 'Mick Taylor' is a pretty good approximation of your average Roo shooter from back in the day. Toyota landcruiser ute, heavy barrelled 223, 22-250 (1 in 12 twist back in the day so lighter pills), fixed 6-8 power optic, usually a scary light weight trigger and a spotlight on the roof that is manipulated from within the cab. Many times they shoot solo. Headshots only (kill box on roo's head is around 3") shot roo is cleaned and hung on hooks on the back of the ute. Some of the best shooters I've ever seen, no rangefinder, ballistic reticle, dial up turrets, high BC pills, wind meter etc, shooting at night under light, out the window with the rifle's forend resting on the side mirror or a frame on the door, no rear bag etc. Most blokes will not miss out to 250m or so. No excuses from these blokes.

The CA at the end for AMERICA is clearly backward but cross referencing it with earlier videos it looks like it's just Trump that's reversed?
The blondie to the left of his head in the crowd that starts sucking air through her mouth is in the same position in the original video but Trump is facing the other way.

There are some rather *warped* sections of his face by his left orbital and behind/below his right ear that could be entry/exit wounds.
That looks like a plausible spot. It looks a little caved in on the left orbital bone. Hard to tell though.
I keep reading that President Trump should hire his own protection team, is there some kind of national permit that would allow said team to carry everywhere he goes?
