lol I used to live in Bethel Park about 30 years ago and I did start competing in DCM at a local shooting club.
If you watch the whole 28-ish minute bodycam video you can see him count 5 casings early on. Then they wander around for a while and if you listen really close at the right spots you can hear 3 more cases hitting the roof then, all of a sudden, they count 8 casings.
I really cant let go of Greg and his partner not being on the roof because of the heat?
3 other teams are set up on the roof, but Greg and his spotter couldnt handle the heat??
Snipers are as tough as they come. The heat would never be an issue especially if the 3 other teams were willing to work on the roof?
Then were they the first to Crooks body? The window on the second floor was open and maybe 2 feet from the roof?
Gregs 2nd could have went down the hall out the window and secured the body? He never needed to leave the building? People were present when the medic makes it up the black ladder.

12 minutes of the video is missing. watch the clock on body cam..
nice neat pile rt and up 3 oclock from the shooters body. Then 12 minutes cut out from video new people arrive and they find 3 more shells seperate from the origional pile?

But just around the corner from that window is another open window that goes right out onto the roof of the building behind the shooter building and it's connected by the short hallway. This is the window they used to plant the evidence then climb back down, get rid of the ladder they planted for Crooks and act like they were not in the building the whole time.

since they went to they same gun club they could have picked up some of his fired brass from the range and placed it on the roof next to him to account for initial 3 well aimed possible shots from inside building next to Crooks.
Make up artist made a plastic ear piece to hide bullet hole.

The heat thing is super silly. I've shot PRS/tactical matches in NorCal out in the middle of nowhere in 120-degree heat and you have to carry all your gear and ammo from stage to stage. dripping sweat. Still got it done. I'm in LA this weekend shooting NSCA sporting clays and it's 110 degrees right now. Still gonna do it. WTF ever happened to our LEO and military where they can't suffer for a few hours. It's literally in the job description. Can't stand on a roof to protect a former POTUS for two hours without getting awwww widdly sweeepy?

That makes no sense. What ladder did they plant for Crooks lol. He either used the short black ladder LEO used to access the roof or climbed up the AC unit in the back, like shown in the video posted earlier. Why would "they" need to place a ladder, then remove it later? The team inside was comprised of three people. One left early for some reason. Another went outside to search for Crooks but apparently left his key card so couldn't get back inside. Third guy went downstairs (apparently), to let #2 back in.

If I was going to shoot Trump-
1- I would recruit a patsy that would definitely be killed once shooting started. Maybe grab a young vulnerable man who I met at my Shooting Club?
2-Then make every excuse in the book to be inside a building right behind or under where my Patsy would be Shooting from? Line of sight has to match up.
3-Make sure I had access to him before anybody else to place the spent shells that I shot?

I have a pretty long history of working with LE on training and deployments. I have also been doing it long enough to have direct feedback, photos and AARs from live deployments including over-watch at crowded public venues.
Here is my 2 cents.
They are trained to manage WX through physical fitness and position prep.
1: Unfortunately a lot of LE agencies do not have legit physical fitness standards once the officers leave the academy. Lots of LE agencies will move entry guys into a sniper slot once they are broken and half crippled from the entry monkey job because the admin mistakenly believe that LE snipers do not have to be in good physical condition. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Not all LE that are assigned a sniper position have the discipline of a full time military sniper that some are trying to compare them to. I do know that 85 to 90% of the ones I have worked with are actually very, very disciplined, dedicated and trustworthy meat eaters. The rest, not so much due to lax admin oversight.
**I have no clue about the physical condition of the local CS guys.**
2: Regardless of the physical condition of the officer per #1 above, some officers just flat do not have the discipline to maintain excellence. That means that (they are after all human) some will elect to seek more comfortable options if they think their effectiveness is "almost" as good as the prime position.
We are 110% against any procedural compromise in deployment. That is a non-negotiable constant once the venue has been surveyed.
I have no information to say what happened in PA, but I can certainly tell you that it is unfortunately possible that individual decisions could have been made to setup inside due to the perception it was more comfortable. Especially with everybody being on separate comm freq and no USSS oversight of all local LE assets, there would have been nobody to call their hand and make them get their asses up top.
I am still not saying that is what happened in this situation. I don't like it or condone it but it happens.

Currently, EVERYONE has the ability in the palm of their hand to capture real time HD video and still shot imagery of anything they wish at a moments notice. Anyone conspiring to have a 2nd shooter, change ladders or do about anything else along those lines would know and understand this reality.
They would not be so stupid nor feel intellectually superior enough to think there is a reasonable chance of getting away with it. Too many eye witnesses and far too many camera devices in circulation. Too many other support people watching other support people.
Every one of the YouTube links posted are twisted. They quote "sources" and "experts" but remain vague. They all use hyper dramatic opening screen pics and headlines on each video header designed to get you excited and make you doubt. Those motherfuckers are making a lot of money off of your clicks and the clicks of the hundreds of others you point to them.
My opinion is that almost all of it is a feeding frenzy of speculation with nothing tangible to back up what is being said.
**Caveat: I believe .gov does not feel like they are accountable, do not feel like we should know any facts and in a lot of instances think WE are the bad guys for even questioning things.

There were probably 20 or 30 public attendees that have hours of phone video documenting the shooter on the roof before the shooting started and up to and including after LE started getting on the roof. Even other individual LE officers remaining on site after attendees were forced to vacate were still taking tons of pics and video with their own phones. Cops are just like other people, they are going to take pics of the excitement.
Nobody ran up to the shooter's location and started throwing brass on the roof. Either on purpose or by chance there was never a moment that the area was not visually recorded by somebody once peckerhead got on the roof.
