Garmin Xero Placement

Have any of yall used the Xero on a diving board? I shoot off a tripod a lot and have been looking at options for mounting the Xero to get some data. The instructions say to position 5-15 inches to the side of the muzzle and 5-15 inches behind the muzzle. By that logic the diving board wouldn’t work, curious what yall have to say.

Right now I’m between the diving board mount and a side mount that clamps to the Arca rail.

I don't intend to mount mine, but it does work placed farther away. Several feet to the side and behind , on a tripod, on the ground under the bench, try it.

Works fine. By the way, an arca clamp on the side is also not 5-15 inches off to the side

How far down range does the bullet cross into the beam?

No idea. It's still pointed at the target.

If the bullet crosses the beam 10 yards down range, it will cross the same unless you move it.
Readings will be consistent.
