I dont have pay TV (Just cant justify $100 plus per month to pipe poison and garbage into my home. Netflix and Youtube are more than enough.)so I missed the SB, but I heard that the 1/2 time was a joke with a rapper you couldn't understand.
I told Direct TV to FO right after the 2020 stolen election. You couldn't pay me to listen to lying propaganda they call news much less me pay them to try and brainwash me.

I watch Youtube.

I don’t either, just seen brief clips and this fit in with what I saw. Personally can’t give a rat’s azz about ANY “Profesional” sport.

My Monte Walsh (Tom Seleck) meme from Sunday is very accurate

found it but it's embarrassing. This is what some call entertainment.

Interesting thought, the Nimitz goes back to 1941. It didnt make light of it in the flick but the captain just became the most powerful man in the world. Think how the world might be different if this really happened.

And think if one of todays went back to 1980.

For the ship to travel from 1980 back to Pearl Harbor 1941, it would have to travel back in time 39 years.

If you went back in time to watch the movie in the theater, you'd have to travel back 45 years.

Well, shit... there goes the value of all my defense stocks...

The deep state must be losing their $##%ing minds!

Who cares what Lockheed stock does if we make the deep state into fertilizer...

Don’t worry… We’re so worried about China that the DoD will throw billions at Lockheed (and the rest of the military industrial complex) for some time to come…

The 1980 crew would whip their asses and laugh at them for all the rainbow flags and buttsex in the showers…

The correct answer is... No time traveler should do jack shit at Pearl Harbor. It brought us into the war. If we hadn't entered, things would have been much different. The war would have gone on for far longer, or you'd be speaking German. Pearl Harbor was an event that needed to happen exactly the way it did.

Japan had declared war on the US and was simultaneously attacking US territories (Phillipines, Wake Island, etc.) concurrent to Pearl Harbor, so the US would have been in regardless.
Now, let's change the plot-line of the movie to where the carrier isn't returned to the present just as attack was getting underway, would you commit to fending off the Japanese air armada, or would you go after the carriers of the Kidō Butai and, preempting the Battle of Midway, take away Japan's ability to operate in the Pacific in 1941?
And, still not returning the carrier to the present, FDR could have entered into war with Germany with the nukes already aboard the Nimitz. He could have brought the war to an end in just a few months, and without having to ally himself with the Soviets.

What makes you think that FDR thought an alliance with fellow socialists was a bad thing? His ideas and policies weren't so different than stalins. Maybe not so much murdering millions of jews and undesirables but more of the control and squeezing the people for power and money. He was just as evil as them....

Post-war, political alignment, who knows?
But, in 1941, Soviets would have still been on the back foot after German invasion. If US had ended the war per our movie scenario, US/GB could have negotiated in a re-do (pre-do ?) of Potsdam Accords without Stalin.
