They got their asses shut down by Governor Abbott last week. Not going to be their first attempt though. Expect them to file a lot of frivolous lawsuits like death row inmates.

exactly. will sound like a war monger but i have wondered for years what things would be like if we used force differently in the past. eg Iran hostage. what would have been the outcome if Carter has responded with overwhelming force to the attack on our embassy? what would things be like if Ike had done same during the Cuban revolution or had Kennedy pushed Bay of Pigs like the military wanted? seems to me like we use force when we shouldn't like Iraq in '03 and VN in late 50s. seems we use it 1/2 way when we should just get it over with or not do it at all. sorta same argument used by many about Munich in '38. don't think the leadership looks at long view when committing the military to some undertaking.

Who handles punishment? They going to have a prison? What is an appeals process? What happens when someone wants an honor killing? Or genital mutilation of girls?
Further, if the community is in Texas a County... the Sheriff and county judge should be the authority. It's in the State of Texas, so Texas State courts apply. They are in the USA, so the USCA and U.S. Federal courts apply. If they have a 'municipality' with Sharia law, who handles law enforcement? County sheriff isn't going to deal in Sharia Law.
