You’ve most likely nailed it except you forgot the part about dead guy and ex partner being investigated a while back for being somehow involved in a stolen dog/ fighting dog ring . The only real inconsistency on the defense side is the judge allowing their expert witnesses to testify at a later date even though they did not make the discovery deadline and have not completed their investigation or report .

I have a theory on that I was waiting for someone to bring it up.

So she left the party ; he came outside to give her a kiss , a hug, maybe punch her in the face. And she started her engine, ran him over , drove home. Ran back to the party in a blizzard with her dog, moved his body to near the flag pole Let the dog chew on him for a mi minute or two.went back inside the party , found his phone and made a call on it to throw off any investigation and make it hard to establish a TOD and did all this in just under 2 minutes.
And all of the above is complete made up bullshit while I soak my sore ass feet in an Epsom salt bath- new work boots not working out- and it is still more plausible then anything the state has said .
