giving some thought to a n AR10 weight will matter. have had a few, including a rogue that was disappointing at it's price point. i have looked at evrything i can fin about them on line. all of it is rather mixed regarding reliability.
i am just looking for input from people here on what they have seen from owning or watching them in use. acccuracy? esp with M80 which i know is never the greatest ammo but about the lowest cost, which matters.

I went down this road twice... Both times sucked.
Sold the first after shooting 4-5" groups with multiple brands of match ammo.

2nd one, I got for a deal used, replaced the gas block and rail so that the rail wasnt touching the factory gas block... Still shot like shit and both chewed up brass to the point it wasnt reloadable anymore.

Palmetto is having their armalite sale again, grab one of these while you can

If you want AR15 weight then go with an AR15, like grendel caliber or something

I pretty much gave up on AR10s I do have a sig 716i set up like a carbine (1-5X scope, flashlight) but that's just to have one otherwise I shoot my 223s waaaaaay more (tiny recoil, accurate, ammo is cheap)

I've been happy with my SFAR, shoots fine for what it is, a lightweight small frame .308. I did send it back before ever shooting it because the barrel assembly was canted such that the gas block was in contact with the handguard. I think Ruger replaced the barrel assembly and sent it back, was taken care of pretty quickly. It is nice to carry in the woods, the only thing I'd change about it now is to go for a longer gas system...a mid gas 16" .308 is always going to be suboptimal with a can mounted, my most recent flow through can seems to be helping there though.

it does seem on here and everywhere i have looked that it is a hope to get lucky deal. there are several other expensive rifle brands that i have heard the same about and have had some experience myself.
weight is my main concern. have looked at the Armalite above,PSA and a local outfit called CORE. anybody got hands on with any of those, esp in FL?
tx again for replies

Built a AR10 from Aero parts and BA barrel AGB five years ago, in 6.5 CM. Ammo Hornady 147 gr ELD. Only good part was the
blem Geissele trigger. And a NF SHV. Its a 1k yard gun if the shooter gets it right. The pita part was getting the fucking thing to cycle and eject
consistently which it does. Now it is getting a 7.62 barrel and see.
