I always thought the 13" barrel for a long distance caliber was too short. I feel 16" should have been the standard. 22" for a DMR roll. But hey what do I know, I'm not in the Army anymore.
I think we can look at a number of places in history where farmers were driven out and figure out where this is going. They want to be pirates, not farmers. That work is too hard. They would rather swing for the fence and die than live the methodical life.
They already have examples of this around Africa and the results were very poor after black took over the farms.
