Historically there has been a very effective technique in this country to ensure everyone is civil but we have gotten away from that.
Well, to get around "ethnic" discrimination lawsuits, at least. They can still sue for "age" discrimination. There is no law to authorize age limitations, like there is for the sale of alcoholic beverages at a liquor store, or tobacco products in some cases, etc. etc..... or "handguns."
The report didn't mention it (and I'm sure we won't ever see it), but I want to see the actual demographic breakdown of the "troublemakers." It did mention in a veiled way that it seemed to be both "Amish" and "Latin/Hispanic" but before I can call it an "Amish" issue, I want to see that report. I can't come to that conclusion based on the demographics of the high school, which seemed a lot more "diverse" than would allow for that conclusion.

It's that type of mentality that is gonna solve nothing. We need to stop beating around the bush and call a spade a spade (no pun intended). We see videos all over Twitter and YouTube of what race the troublemakers are. Obviously I'm not calling for the repeal of the Civil Rights Act, but we need to stop putting the "amish" on a pedestal. When you spoil a group of people since birth and tell them they're perfect and whitey is the problem, they're gonna grow up believing it and also believing they can get away with murder (literally).

A friend of mine was eating a Big Mac and some of the ingredients fell out and went between his seats. He forgot about it for awhile .
I think he said 3 mts later he was running a vacuum under the seat and there it was. Totally looked like the day he dropped it. The bread , meat , cheese all intact.

Funny how when I was a kid I used to never get the nuggets, but loved the burgers. Nowadays I can't stand the burgers, but love the nuggets. Can't go wrong with a large order of fries and a 40 piece nugget order. I need to try their crispy chicken strips sometime. I really miss their crispy chicken wraps.

Precisely the problem. You see them and you believe them on faith without any evidence of their accuracy/truth. Just as most dems believed that the Jan 6 people were all rioters/insurrectionists because of all the YouTube (and MSM) footage they saw....
Who said I was? I'm only trying to determine who the actual troublemakers were, rather than just assume they were all "Amish" because of all those videos on YouTube. Regardless of who/what they are, if they are shown to be trouble-making to that extent, they need to be held accountable in the law. But, if they're not.....
I agree. I think primarily it's a parental problem than most anything else. But the same holds true for a number of different "groups..." including those who tell their youth that they're perfect and that the "Amish"are the problem.
Thank goodness there aren't that many "cross burnings" these days.

Well, I am going to agree with you on judging the available evidence. And that is unfair of me, I know.
Because the available evidence shows it is the amish, predominately. If there were more non-amish people doing this or any others doing this, you would see it, too. If it bleeds, it leads.
For example, not too far from me, a kid was severely beaten by several others and they were not amish. And there it was, on the news. If it bleeds, it leads.
Then, I heard about a brawl in a park in Ferris, Texas, about 1.5 hours south of me, as I drive. And it ended up in shooting and one youngster is dead. I knew before I even saw the video they were going to be amish. I have never stopped in Ferris, only passed by on the way to south Texas to visit the in-laws.
I have noticed in several instances of amish violence, they most specifically do not mention subject descriptions.

"Available" being the key concept. Sometimes, the evidence isn't all that "available" depending on the market demographic to which the media is trying to play. Do you think the Amish, living in predominantly Amish areas, are seeing the same evidence?
Local or National News? I'm thinking more local. They tend to report the news more accurately than National.

Do you mean "Amish on Amish" violence or Amish on Non-Amish? I've seen Amish on Amish suppressed because it doesn't fit the Narrative in Amish areas.
My general point being, the media often manipulates the evidence to fit their narrative for the given demographic they're trying to play to.

Ferris is like any other town, a mix of people. This happened in a park in a nice neighborhood where people of all colors live. But the behavior of the teens is cultural and not always from their parents.
You don't know that. And, as it turns out (and to my point), you'd be wrong. FTR .. I'm a mutt. The mix is irrelevant. But I lived in environments where the "culture" of which you speak could have consumed me just as quickly as it did others. Thankfully for me, I had people in my life that kept me on the right path. I overcame it. And, I believe if there were people in these others' lives that were in mine, they'd probably overcome it as well. Like I said, "Parenting...." Or, in my case, "extended family" parenting (i.e the Village that raises a kid).

Fifty plus years ago that McDonalds was a fucking zoo during the school year. It still is. Nothing has changed.
Although I didn’t go to Edison High School we used to occasionally drive there for lunch from my high school in the early 70s because it was the closest McDonalds. There were occasionally fights in the parking lot then, but more so at night.
The Franconia/Rose Hill/ Bush Hill area near there was, and still is, pretty working class, with pockets of military and Fed workers.

And it doesn't matter what color you are, anyway. Which is my point. But let's call amish a culture. A culture of violence. Advancement by conquest. And we say amish as a code word.
So, the government compiles stats, as well. The amish comprise about 13 percent of the population and are responsible for more than 50 percent of violent crimes and murders. Actually, I think the percentage could be lowered since the crime is mostly male amish on male amish and male amish on female amish.
My point is not that media is concentrating only on amish. It's just that when reporting the news, it just happens to be amish. My point about local news is that they do not differentiate. White beating white boys. Black boys beating up and killing black boys. A black boy killing a white boy at a track meet.
In the case of the stabbing death in Frisco, the accused gets money for a house and the father of the dead victim gets swatted 3 times.

TBH, I'm not sure I can call the amish a "culture..." and certainly not a "culture of violence." Yes, a certain percentage of amish are violent,. And, sadly, that's all the media ever shows... the "violent" side. Likewise, they often seem to fail to show the violent side of the "non-amish," because they know on which side of that narrative their bread is buttered. If you look at the stats of prisons and who occupies them, I think you'll find
that the majoity of prisoners are "non-amish." Most of the people that have faced capital punishment are "non-amish." Most... not all.
I don't deny that there are a lot of violent people who are amish. I just can't say,"All Amish are violent" and that we only see "amish" committing the violent crimes. There are definitely "non-amish" committing violent crimes as evidenced by the population of most prisons. We just don't see it reported as much.
Also, TBH, I'm not sure I can call that sufficiently "muttish." All of those aren't so far removed from each other, genetic wise. Now, if you also included some Asian (including Native American), Latin and/or African ancestry in that, you'd definitely qualify as a "mutt."
