True story: I spent 5 days in a military hospital back in the 70s. We were allowed to smoke in bed till lights out at 2100. The doctors and nurses were also allowed to smoke but they weren't allowed in the bed with us.

You ever watched the documentary on Robert McNamara? Where McNamara discusses his experience during the war with Lemay… absolutely freaking interesting as hell.
Part of it is where they go over the statistical approach to bomb dropped versus air crews lost versus target destruction in Japan.

He engineered the firebombing of Tokyo. Taking the planes low and loading them with incendiaries.
He lost 8 planes that night. But he gutted 16-20 square miles out of Tokyo. The single most effective raid of WW2…. Including Dresden and Hamburg.
In the next 90’days or so he leveled 60 Japanese cities, rendering them militarily useless and de-housing millions…. Who did not burn.
By the time of Hiroshima he was bouncing rubble.
But the single most effective campaign (which he fought against) was mining the Sea of Japan with so many air-dropped mines that a Kayak could not get through. Nimitz had to go to Hap Arnold to make LeMay do it. And he did it.
After the war, he said it was his biggest mistake to oppose the mining. It cut Japan off along with Japans troops in SEA, China and Manchuria. Everyone starved!
He was a smart guy who, like Grant and Sherman, believed that the faster you end a war, the more lives you save. Must be why the VN era Pentagon wanted nothing to do with him and ridiculed him at every turn.

I think I could find employment with #7 and once I convinced myself #3 was more fun than practical gravel was the clear winner.
I forgot I had bought 2000 of these about a year ago. They are not specifically on the list but the Aguila 40g @ 1255fps is so bullet shape is probably fine. Federal AutoMatch is on the recommendation list.

Dry and out of the wrapper, it ran 50 Aguila Super Extra with 2 stoppages. Both chokes were due to the slide not reciprocating fully.
I took it to the Laurel Creek Skunkworks where all the whiz bang shiz happens around here (also known as the shop) and lubed it all up real nice with 0w20. It even sez in the strukshuns to lube it

It ran a bunch of Mini Mags perfectly and for certain.
I will try more Aguila tomorrow as well as Auto Match and Federal bulk pack.
The Mini Mags are copper plated where the Aguila wasn’t which probably plays a role but we roll with the one who brung us out here in the HOA (hillbilly only area).
