I've noticed quite a few top pro shooters using white turret tape and was wondering if anyone knew what the deal is or know the inside baseball behind it. Anyone know specifically what they're using? Are they custom made or readily available from a known source?

The only thing close that I know of is from idts. Since these guys are based in Canada, I find it hard to believe so many shooters are sourcing from them.

Looks to me like you answered your own question. As for your lack of belief, have faith my son.

Going to give the IDTS tape a go…it’s seems now you get three tapes per order (up from two).

It's been 3 for awhile. I bought my first set 2 years ago, came with 3 (I was an idiot and bought 3 orders, ended up with 9 - just gave them away to friends 😂)

You’ll like them. They work great. I got them for my Razors and my Strike Eagles. I got the double number version for my Razor on my .22 as I will be spinning the turret up there more. Single for the centerfire like my .308 below.

What brand and mine thickness wet erase markers do you guys like to use with the idts tape?

I’m looking at the Staedtler Lumograph markers, and they come in a bunch of line widths.

Here’s the really thin ones they call Fine, similar to Sharpie Ultra Fine:

Not sure if that’s too fine. They make a 1.0mm version, which I think is called medium. Anyway…

Regardless of brand, do you like the thicker markers or the more “Sharpie Ultra Fine” thickness?

And do the Expo ones hold up fine and don’t wipe off? (until you want them to)
The cheap Walmart or Amazon work fine. I've been using them in rain, dust, snow, etc.

Since the purpose is speed, it doesn't matter how fine the market is.

They absolutely wipe off if you get them wet (sweat or precip). They also will wipe off if you get rimfire ammo lube on the tape, so be aware of that also.

But yeah I use the same as @Rob01, if the tip gets mushy I toss it and use a fresh one. They’re fine enough for my 15-mil turret.
