If everyone had your attitude we wouldn’t have indoor plumbing. Or arc and cm cartridges.
I have zero issues finding clubs with matches in the sports that I care about. In fact, they pop up in my calendar automatically.
You should try to be a match director and run a match on it before you gush all over their capabilities. I’m sure that it works fine for you as a shooter.
You do that and report back so that we will have the final word from you as is usual.
It's interesting that in five years of continous uspsa competition I've never heard an MD complain about this.

I don't know- I guess I see it differently. Is Practiscore the best app in the world from a user interface perspective? Probably not. But as I mentioned previously, I don't think that they're exactly rolling in the cash, I don't think they have a staff (nor could afford one) to address things, I honestly think this is a passion project for one person and that ended up being the best option available for all walks of life in the competitive shooting sports.
I can’t disagree that we all use it because it’s what is available. I’m also not shitting on the application, despite those who only think in black or white might believe. I was pointing out, as a constructive criticism, that from a PRS MD perspective, it is really not as helpful nor intuitive to use as are so many good internet sites.
That's a more than fair assessment. I could admittedly be completely off base with my assumption that it's a passion project and in reality be a much larger operation than I give them credit for. In which case the criticisms offered are indeed valid.
PRS is a tiny portion of the PS user base. They can all leave right now and no one would notice or care.
Don’t argue with the USPSA experts. They know all and see all and their word is final, even when they’re wrong.

Just wanted to refresh this thread a bit and share some updates. We’ve been making steady improvements to the UI and rolling out new features on a monthly basis. The core development for scoring is now complete, which means we’re finally getting to work on the fun stuff.
We just wrapped up our baseline analytics package—this is the first step toward something that’s going to change the game in terms of the data we can extract from matches. We’ve also tested live streaming and have a really cool solution in the works.
On top of that, digital match books and Kestrel integration are currently in development. Lots of exciting things coming soon!

It should make your life as an MD easier. Scores are up as soon as the match is over, no syncing tablets, matches can be fully ran from your cell phone. If you ever have questions dont hesitate to reach out.
PractiScore was created by and for IPSC and USPSA. PRS matches and formats were all added as a much later afterthought, are extremely slow to change and quickly becoming outclassed as far as user interface is concerned.
That’s great if you are putting on matches at that level, but for the small local one day matches I put on, by myself, live streaming is out of the question.
Can I ask what is worse? Also not sure if you were at NF last year but PS completely crashed and lost every score at the match. The MD had no one to call, no CS and scores were never recovered. That is not possible to happen with Impact and we have CS.
Ya that crash sucked for sure and obviously caused some friction.
We have all of that so it’s been awhile since you have used Impact. We add features and fine tune stuff weekly right now. Like today we just launched our baseline analytics package which will be rolling out in a few weeks. We are a small team so the initial roll out earlier this year was to get scoring done then we built upon that
