Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

For us non tractor types it looks tractorish. It does work on farms and the front end looks like lots of tractor front ends just with bigger tires. At least I am alot better than taking my wife to Hill AFB museum. Airplane, airplane, airplane, airplane... Oops helicopter. I am a-10, f14, sr71, (letter)h-53.

Do they have a B-1B at the museum?
Couldn't get her near the one at Ellsworth back in '14 because it was snowed in. I'd like her to see what I worked on up close.

Kinda funny, isn’t it. Dad was infantry in Korea, 52. Never spoke about anything specific until I returned from my first tour there. Always slept with his eyes half open. Mom said he never did before. Those guys were different.
Gramps was an interesting fella for sure. He was really my dad as far as I was concerned and I made sure he knew it before he passed... He was 16 when he joined the Army. He had a cousin vouch he was 18. He grew up Mennonite in Virginia. His family counted him as dead when he left. He showed me the grave stone when I went there with him later in life. His family didn't recognize him as even being alive for 20ish years until after his parents died. The only time I ever met that part of the family was when his oldest brother had cancer. I drove him out there. They talked privately for 10 minutes. I was introduced and we left... I know that part of the family tree goes back to the 1600's in America. That's it.

Interestingly, when he passed, about 30 Amish men came to the service. They came early, shook every males hand, and left before the pastor even went up to the podium.

Stop stealing my posts as your own! Thief! ;)

Dont know if this is real but damn....

The first practical motion picture camera was invented in the 1880's. Color movie film was not practical until the 1930's, 80 years after these alleged incidents took place. The Indian mutiny occurred in 1857, so I can state with confidence the clip is fake.

Is that you John Wayne?

Stumbled into Winterset, Iowa today. Birthplace and childhood home of The Duke!

Cool small town with a gorgeous municipal building!

John Wayne (Marion Morrison, actually) lived there from 1907-1916 when the family moved to California.

That looks to be one of the Venturi series of spreaders made by RBR Enterprises, same company that makes the Vectors.

True, my Dad served in WWII I never even knew he was in the ARMY till I was a teenager. I never heard anything about it until I was well over 40. He finally told a few stories to my wife when he reached into his late 80's.
Brother and cousins were Viet Nam era, I was 14 years younger and basically forbidden to even consider military service.

Bet you Omaha boys know this place!

If you are still in Omaha area, Zio’s pizza was a top spot when I lived there (4 yrs of college).
Stoners building the pies tend to load up the toppings.
Dundee Inn used to be a top spot for whisky with a HUGE list. Apparently well known for it.

If you are headed west, see if you can hit Ole’s for a burger in Paxton. A lifetime of trophies from hunting across the world on display (in BFE nebraska) and the burgers are just good.
Taco De Oro in Gering for Mexican. Local fav and been there for a LONG time.
OK grub, but an institution if you will.

Crawford and Ft Robinson just north of there have some amazing history (back to the Red Cloud Agency, death of Crazy Horse, and a WW II POW camp.

Ft Kearny on the Platte near the town of Kearney is pretty cool too. As is the old Pony Express Museum in Gothenberg.

Morton mansion (of Morton Salt fame) in Nebraska City is really cool.
There is a huge bench at a park there that is acoustically perfect. Long curved deal and you can hear a whisper from one end at the other.

Snyder Precision in Lincoln if you need some ammo, a spare mag, or anything. A sponsor here and a solid dude!!

Ok, G43X update.

PSA 15rd magazines are officially GTG in my book. ZERO, that is NO malfunction in several hundred rounds through 4 different PSA magazines and 3 different 43X. Yes, three, I bought my daughter one too to replace her G19. My wife is carrying hers daily.

These are the polished “micro-slick” mags although a friend has 4 of the black ones with zero malfs either.

I believe I am consistently as fast with it now as I was with a 19. Hammers are possibly slightly faster although I am not certain why 🤷🏼‍♂️ but I have years of timed 19 drills vs. weeks of 43X drills so IDK but slightly quicker split.

Leaving all 3 stock. No optics for now.

I have come to the realization it is my favorite Glock and by a wide margin my favorite carry gun.

Advantage Arms update.

Got my free magazine by way of the offer in the box. Total of 3 now.

A hoot to ring steel with it on the cheap. It devours Federal bulk and 40g Mini-mags. It is pretty dang consistent and shoots to POA.
