‘Swatting’ call attempted at Las Vegas home of FBI director
A swatting call was reported at the Las Vegas home of the director of the FBI on Tuesday morning.

Egg-zachary. How could the local sheriff NOT know where the director of the FBI lives? How would they not actually have patrols in the area just to keep things safe.
So, someone needs to confirm this with the sheriff's office or local PD where he lives.
Edited to add: I see now the local PD did their due diligence. Swatting is a bit over the line in the description, though. Why is Patel calling it a swatting incident when the police called him to confirm that everything was okay?

re swatting-if people on any "side" didn't know that every cop's wet dream was kicking in a door and shooting the 1st person (or dog) they see then swatting wouldn't be a viable tool for attempted murder,

Well maybe it's time some of the big wigs understand why the lowly citizens are starting to truly despise the Uniform Hangers for stunts like this.

Even if a SWAT team doesn’t deploy, the swatting call (the attempt) still violates the statute and is a prosecutable event. If it’s pursued and the caller is identified, he/she can be arrested.
The technology for locating a swatter already exists. Just look at all the methods they used to round up J6ers.

I like that idea and I certainly believe in the deletion of qualified immunity.
However, the possible downside is that it is "rules for thee but not for me."
