In fairness, a lot of people posing for official photos have a fake smile. I know I'm guilty. I learned long ago it's better to just have a slight smile than a big fake one.
My first, shaved-head military ID I looked like some psychopath criminal thinking about murdering the photographer. I was trying to look mean, and unfortunately I achieved that.
