So I’ll explain it again.

There is a large contingent of people that lack empathy, understanding and any consideration for others. These people think only of themselves and since they have no moral basis, they believe that taking others lives is an answer to their own deep-seated insecurities and inadequacies. There’s no moral compass.

To make matters more understandable to those of us that are not like that; this is the only way they can relate. To see others doing what they would do. Since they have no empathy, they cannot imagine anyone being or thinking differently.

Thus, when they say that guns should be banned, they do so knowing that since they have no control over their urges, nobody else does either.

It goes further, but knowing this will help you to get why many of these people are like they are.

Well, except the one time I said the word "democrat" in the house and my mother washed my mouth out with soap. For comparison, my mother could curse strong enough to make a sailor blush. But uttering the word "democrat" was a high crime worthy of strong punishment. OTOH, Irish Spring isn't too bad, I guess.

So they resort to violence under the idea that "the end justifies the means." To the left, you are all merely little eggs, to be scrambled to create their shiny, happy omlette.

Those type of violent threats really don't bother me regardless of whether it comes from Left or Right wingers. What does bother me is how they're dealt with in such a thin-skinned type of way. It wasn't that long ago where no one gave two rat's shits about those types of threats. It wasn't uncommon at all for friends, confederates, or even enemies to threaten eachother with death. Hell, even our own parents would threaten us with violence or death if we were acting like little assholes. Nowadays, if a 7 years old makes a threat on a Minecraft server, the SWAT Team shows up to his house. I know it's such a boomer thing for me to say, but society really has become thin-skinned since I was a kid and I'm only 35!
