i saw an interesting take on Epoch Times. was said that the strikes weren't very effective. I think it's way more likely the MIC here in USA wants war with Iran which is why they leaked that document about the strike being ineffective. They want people to pressure Trump to launch more missiles.

I think this is the case.
Even before this operation was commenced, there was numerous reports coming out talking about how the admin was very cautious about using bunker busters as there was a lot of doubt they would get the job done.
Trump likely performed the operation anyways to appease Netanyahu and the hawks (to a degree), and giving himself an "out" to avoid more war (that Netanyahu and the said hawks want).
Trump can save face and avoid further war by saying he's done his part. The reality doesn't really matter (in regards to how much damage actually was done).
The tight rope now hangs in the balance of Israel and Iran, how they respond and whether either party pursues to escalate. I know Netanyahu wants a regime change war with Iran, and it wouldn't surprise me if they continued to commit to that. However they know they can't accomplish that without the US, and if Trump stands strong against Netanyahu perhaps we can avoid this regime change war afterall.
Time will tell.
Exactly the point I was trying to make to our resident expert. This my opinion (emphasis on "opinion"): From the moment I heard about the strike, I thought I'd be very surprised if it was 100% effective at permanent destruction. I'd also be very surprised if it were 0% effective. I do expect it to be somewhere in between, but have no idea which of those numbers it leans towards. So for now, we wait.
One thought I had is, if it only sealed the entrances enough to take a few months/years to dig out, they make it a stipulation that it remain untouched or anyone going near it is going to get zapped. If they "knew", as has been posited, that it wouldn't completely penetrate, this could have been the strategy? I don't know, just an idea.

I believe Obama’s actions by repealing Smith-Mundt did more damage to our Republic, and to our way of life than 100 years of socialist creep. Once trust is gone, we lose it all.
That trust will be almost impossible to rebuild, but with Trump we at least have a chance to replace that trust in our government and other institutions…despite his hubris and ego.
