Yeah I am satisfied here. I am going to change the trans fluid, adjust the bands and cross my fingers. I really baby it and always try to get max MPG anyway. On the power increase, any more and you start stressing many other components. Keep it about there, to level up requires a lot mo $ to stay reliable. Just my 2 cents.
Sirhr,We have Top bows for antique car convertible tops steam bent to 90degrees all the time. Tight radius. They are oak, but not sure if red or white.
Done down in Amish country. They have big pressure cooker tubes to do the bows in. And Jigs to form around. Give them a dimension and a radius and they do it! Look how tight the radius is on an antique car convertible top.
Not saying this video is real…. But it can be done without laminate..
Cheers! Sirhr
That’ll put the hurt on ya if you ain’t careful!
Or AI altogethermakes me wonder if that handrail in not actually wood, but some composite material.
Yeah, I watched the video once I was on my computer, and it looks like it's some kind of wood-like composite. I also thought it might be some kind of wierd Asian wood that is very soft and pliable.Sirhr,
The thing here is your talking about having a relatively thin piece of oak bent, versus a 2 ½" to 3" thick handrail. Something else I notice is the handrail shown in the video is completely finished as in stained and varnished. I worked residential construction for 35 years and never saw a handrail done like that, makes me wonder if that handrail in not actually wood, but some composite material.
That was definitely NOT welded by an Oklahoma down Hander!
